My Shabby Country Cottage Chic Hair Studio Makeover Reveal, well sorta....

been working really hard for several weeks trying to transform this space into a functional hair salon so we do not have to build on a complete room this size....
all the hard work has paid off......

I love it!

here it was before.....nice as a hottub room and a make shift nail room but I needed more room to be able to move around my hydraulic chair as I am creating a masterpiece on each of my clients! so the hottub is now on the patio and several, I mean SEVERAL gallons of white paint later........

I now have that room......

lots more little things to do such as curtains, baseboards and painting some trimwork.....oh and moving the shampoo bowl over from the old building.......

say cheese....

I am on the lookout for more shabby furniture to use for storage and another vanity to go with my extra hydraulic chair that is in storage......yep, I will have a "two seater" again just like Floyd always dreamed of having on The Andy Griffith Show!!!

the china cabinet is perfect storage for my Mary Kay products.....

I hesitated to paint the concrete floors white.......hahaha well a little.....but I am glad that I did now! It is so bright in there that I have to wear my shades to cut hair!

and this is what a white floor in a hair salon looks like when there's hair on the floor........LOL

I have wanted one of these FOREVER!!!
Don't know how I talked him into letting me get this one, though?!?!
I did have to buy it all by myself but that makes it more fun.
I found her...(I call her "Mary" cause she is Mary Kay pink and she is my version of the iconic Mary Kay pink cadillac).....on Craigslist in North Carolina. We went and looked at her on Saturday and of course I fell in love with her. Danny told me that if i wanted her I had to come up with the money on my own and that it wasn't coming out of the bank.......hahaha the jokes on him, he knows not to challenge me......I bought her home on Thursday.
Seems I had several pieces of really nice jewelry lying around collecting dust that other folks wanted, Thanks to ebay!!
Yes!! She's ALL mine!
Now if I wreck her
she is still ALL mine!
However Danny has came the closest to doing just that when he barely missed our mailbox....teehee that was a Kodak moment but I missed it on film.

When Danny rode her he refused to wear the pink helmet......blahahaha didn't mind the pink scooter tho!!
A friend saw me on the rode the day I hauled her home and he thought I had a pink Harley Davidson on my truck.
What?
I can barely handle a scooter.
I am getting better, I have 7 miles on her now, that's 7 miles around and around and around my house.
Nah, I have been on the dirt road in front of my house, back and forth, can't go too far cause there is a hill either way and I don't do hills, bumps, curves, sudden stops, deer, bear, dogs, other vehicles or pavement yet.










The plans to have a scooter with a basket to hop on and make a quick run to the market to pick up some fresh produce for dinner is sorta out of the question since I am so far out in the boonies. However a nice peaceful Saturday evening stroll along those back roads in the boonies may be just what the Dr ordered!
Practice makes perfect, I think I will try one of those hills today!
I have no problem with Mary pulling me up the hill cause she has PLENTY of pep, it's just going back down the other side..........
